Remembering a time so blue

I remember a boy who needed to start a life anew

This boy had a world of hurt he needed to undo

He knew not what to do to start anew

His mum reached out to an organization she knew in hopes of help to start anew

This organization knew just what to do

With the boy who was so blue

Caring volunteers took time to find a match for a boy with a world of hurt that he only knew

A special friend was found to help the boy

The day came when the boy would meet his mentor to help him start anew

This boy came home from school and shared with mum

Of a mentor who helped him to start

To undo the world of hurt he only knew

Instantly the mentor and the boy stuck like glue

Mum and case worker knew from that moment on these two were inseparable for they were instantly like glue

Over time this match of the crazy glue boys

As they came to be known

Would become big bro and little bro

Many thanks go to all of those volunteers

Who cared to find a match for the boy who need to find a way to undo the world of hurt he only knew

Big brothers knew just what to do
